Shane, why did you change your number to 8? you are by far my fav. player in the league. thanks for your hustle. -Hyrum
Shane Victorino: Shane: I changed my number to 8 because we signed Wes Helms this off-season and he has worn that number all his career. Wes asked if I would be willing to change numbers and I said that would be fine. I was # 8 for my high school career and also in 2005. It was the number my brother wore in baseball and happens to be the date of my mother's birthday so it is also very special to me. Nice to be able to answer some questions and stay posted for my updated journals and new things on my website

What made you decide to settle down in Las Vegas? Is it that Las Vegas is a good point between your home in Hawaii and your team in Philly?
Shane Victorino: Shane: The reason I settled in Vegas is the location and the good enough weather to train in the off-season. Vegas is a destination of many and is also what I call a little Hawaii. There is a lot of Hawaiian people that live here which includes some of my good friends. There is also so much to do in Vegas. Stay tuned for my journals and updates on my website.
